Direct Representation – LSNF lawyers give generously of their time by directly representing eligible clients. LSNF refers eligible clients to lawyers with expertise or experience in their particular type of legal problem. Participating lawyers specify the areas of law in which they accept recommendations, and this information is used when a candidate is related to a lawyer. LSNF`s pro bono program has more than 1,000 active and inactive members. These supporters can both donate money and provide legal assistance. The service components that make up the pro bono program include direct referral assistance, legal clinic programs and other volunteer activities of NFL. Lawyers can also become members of the Partner in Service program. The Partner Program offers public or private attorneys and law firms the opportunity to contribute annually to support LSNF activities while complying with the Florida Bar Association Pro Bono Rule. In addition to the LSNF Legal Clinic programs, which employ pro bono lawyers, all 1st lawyers have the opportunity to participate in the following programs. The Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) program, also known as the PAI Volunteer Lawyers Project, was launched in 1982 as a pilot project by the Florida Bar`s Volunteer Lawyers Project. The efficient economic delivery of IAP legal aid to LTC-eligible clients reflects the standards set by the NFLA.

Volunteer lawyers (including Leon County government lawyers) work for impoverished clients referred to them by LSNF. The potential customer is checked in advance by LSNF for financial suitability and needs. Each NSWA office is assigned case referral targets for private lawyer referrals based on the number of private volunteer lawyers available in each service area. All potential API cases accepted for representation will be referred to the pro bono coordinator for assistance with removal. This award recognizes a graduate of Florida State University School of Law who has been awarded the right amount of the right person to attend to the School of Law. Participate in a number of other LNSF activities involving private lawyers. LSNF works closely with private lawyers in the sixteen county service area to represent low-income individuals. Through the Private Attorney Involvement Program (PAI), this cooperation takes various forms. The IAP program coordinates pro bono lawyers who agree to provide direct representation by accepting one to four low-income clients free of charge (pro bono) in most areas of civil law.
